Central Coast Council supports a healthy and active community. There are 164 sporting areas on the Central Coast which can cater for more than 20 different types of sport including cricket, soccer, netball, baseball, little athletics, rugby league, rugby union, AFL, cycling, touch football, oztag, school sport, cross country and athletics carnivals.
Council's sporting areas are broken down into the following:
- 71 competition and 29 training netball courts
- 13 turf and 44 synthetic cricket wickets and 18 cricket net facilities
- 119 tennis courts
- 74 football (soccer), 26 rugby league, 13 rugby union, 9 AFL, 7 baseball, 28 touch/OzTag and 5 hockey fields
- 24 skate parks
- 4 BMX facilities
- 15 fitness stations
There is also more than 162kms of shared pathways where you can walk, run, ride or skate to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Looking to maintain or improve your health and fitness and want to stay outside in the fresh air? Council provides and maintains multiple outdoor gyms with fitness equipment you can use for free.
