Step 3: Assessment

The Environmental Planning & Assessment Regulation 2021 sets out timeframes and procedures that must be followed by a consent authority in assessing a DA. Any delays are usually associated with incomplete or deficient applications.

After lodging through the NSW Planning Portal, Council will assess your application.

During the assessment process, your development may be put on notification for submissions from the public. All development applications, modification applications and review applications must be exhibited in accordance with Chapter 1.2 Notification of Development Proposals of Central Coast Councils Development Control Plan 2022.

The assessing officer may complete site inspections and will gather information from internal and external experts on specialised topics, such as biodiversity and traffic.

Once all the information is gathered, the assessing officer will assess your application against relevant legislation and advice provided via referrals.

You can track you application online using Track an Application
